Stepping Into 2018 With A New Attitude

Happy New Year!

2017 was challenging for many, including myself, but I'm optimistic for 2018. I've never been one to do the whole new year's resolution but this year I honestly have lots of goals in mind that I want to achieve this year.

IN 2018 I WOULD LIKE TO ......

1. Meditate

Believe it or not meditation is actually good for you. It helps to keep you calm and collected. Above all else it helps to keep your stress levels down. Meditation can be anything from praying to sitting in silence to positive affirmations.

2. Exercise

In 2017 I did very well with this. I lost a total of 40 pounds. Looking back I can't believe I let myself put on that much weight and it was affecting me physically and emotionally and since dropping the pounds I feel a whole lot better like I can take on the world. For 2018, I'd like to maintain keeping fit. Sometimes I procrastinate with it but I'm determined to stay fit this year.

3. Eat Healthy

My aim is to become vegan but that is SOOOOOOOO difficult lol. In 2017 I changed my eating habits and it was one of the major factors in helping me lose weight. For 2018 I would love to become a vegan but we'll see how successful I am with that this year.

4. Travel More

This is a given as I love to travel and I want to do more of it. I just want to go somewhere I've never been before and experience the culture and something new. To make new memories and enjoy the adventure :)

5. Keep motivated

For the most part I am a very positive person but sometimes I lose focus and fall into a slump. It happens, as we are human and life sets in and sometimes we loose motivation. But keeping a positive attitude helps to keep motivated and in keeping focused with your goals.

6. Don't work so much, actually relax when I am supposed to lol

This one can be difficult for me sometimes. Even when I say I'm taking a break I'm still working, my brain is still tinkering away. This can easily lead to stress which for me is a terrible thing. When I get stressed I become worst than the Grinch lol. So carving time to relax and actually doing that... relaxing... is beneficial in more ways than one. It gives you time to energize yourself. So I'm going to make sure to take my own advice on this and carve time to actually relax lol.

7. Take Risks

Fear can be a hell of a thing. When doubt sets in it leads to fear and then you settle for less because of the doubt and fear. In 2018 I refuse to let doubt and fear hold me back from my full potential and the aspirations I have for myself. Of course, I'm not going to jump blindly, but sometimes that risk is what you need to step out of your element and stretch yourself to achieve your full potential and achieve success.
